it’s so strange how people use a “thigh gap” as a way of determining if somebody’s skinny or not. here’s a perfect example of why it’s completely stupid. she’s thin and healthy, and i don’t see a thigh gap. and i’ve always had a thigh gap, even at my highest weights. not because i was “skinny,” but because my legs are naturally positioned farther apart. it has nothing to do with thinness, it’s body type. you can be skinny without a thigh gap, just like you can be chunkier with one. some people can healthily get thigh gaps as a result of weight loss, sure; but if your body isn’t built for a thigh gap, there’s absolutely no healthy way to get one. and personally, i find this girl every bit as attractive, maybe even more so, than those skinny girls with the “thigh gaps”. it isn’t a definition of beauty, nor is it a standard. it’s a space, and nothing more.
